Virginia Key

Virginia KeyPhysical Therapist Assistant

Virginia “Ginni” Key graduated with her Associate in Applied Science degree from Union County College in 2020. While this prestigious degree and subsequent licensure has been the highlight of her career, it is perhaps her journey leading up to enrolling in PTA school that uniquely distinguishes and differentiates her as a PTA. Before becoming a PTA, Ginni earned her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and Masters of Arts in Teaching. She subsequently went to work teaching physical education.

It was during her career as a teacher that she was diagnosed with a congenital hip disorder. Dedicated in her pursuits, Ginni did not allow her condition to slow or delay her career. With the help of her physical therapists, and her personal commitment to rehabilitation, she was able to achieve an optimal outcome. She went on to not only continue to teach but also to become a personal trainer with a special focus in training individuals with medical and orthopedic conditions. It was during her tenure as a personal trainer that she finally decided to make a career of it and become a PTA. Ginni understands, perhaps more than most, what it’s like to be a patient, be vulnerable, and to have to place your trust in another to help you get back to your best self. She’s now blessed to be able to do that for her patients and it’s a responsibility that she takes very seriously.

Ginni is passionate about helping those struggling with physical difficulties reach their full, pain free potential. Ginni provides an individualized approach to patient care, helping every patient to achieve their therapy goals.

In her free time, Ginni enjoys staying active through exercise and playing with her toddler son, baking, and spending time with her family and friends.
