Dr. Christy McCann

Dr. Christy McCann received both her Bachelor of Arts in Dance Pre-Movement Science and Doctor of Physical Therapy from Stockton University in New Jersey. Following graduation, she began her career in outpatient orthopedics and now has joined the team at ProFysio Physical Therapy with extensive experience in kinesiology and core stabilization, as well as general orthopedics.

Throughout her career as a movement specialist, Christy has obtained her certification as a Pilates trainer. She uses this mind-body, low impact form of movement to enhance her ability to prescribe therapeutic exercises that are safe and appropriate for every diagnosis. Christy’s passion for physical therapy comes from her 18 years of dance training that has inspired her to promote injury prevention through proactive and precise exercise that minimizes the chance of injury in repetitive use athletes. In her free time, Christy enjoys teaching dance and Pilates, in addition to going on runs, listening to music, and reading.
