About

Dr. Kevin Kelly began his career as an athletic trainer, earning his bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training with a Minor in Health from Kean University. As an ATC, he specialized in the management, prevention, and recovery of injured athletes. He provided athletic training services for youth athletes, collegiate athletes, and professional hopefuls preparing for the NFL combine. Dr. Kevin's desire to help all patients, not just athletes, rehabilitate from their injuries led him to pursue a career in rehabilitation as a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Dr. Kevin attended the University of Lynchburg and earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. While at the University of Lynchburg, he would gain valuable experience caring for patients from pediatric to geriatric suffering from various neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. Also while attending Lynchburg, he developed a special interest in caring for patients with limb loss. He became the president of the Prosthetics and Orthotics Special Interest Group, where he assisted his professor in scheduling and organizing a weekly group exercise class as well as seeing patients in the pro bono clinic. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy at ProFysio, Dr. Kevin utilizes a variety of manual therapy techniques along with therapeutic exercise to care for his patients. He believes treatments should be truly individualized and tailored to the needs and goals of each patient. Dr. Kevin provides valuable education for his patients throughout the plan of care because a patient that is empowered with knowledge in health and wellness can enjoy a better quality of life. He is passionate about collaborating with fellow healthcare providers in different specialties in order to maximize the quality of life of his patients, and achieve their individual goals while reducing the risk of reinjury.
