Dr. Mir Shithil
DOCTOR OF PHYSICAL THERAPY
Dr. Mir Shithil earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at The College
of New Jersey. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at
New York University. While at NYU, he developed expertise in the fields
of wound care, lymphedema, and sports rehabilitation. Dr. Shithil has
cared for a diverse group of patients including those whose occupation
depends on superior musculoskeletal health such as broadway performers
and professional athletes, at the esteemed institutions of NYU Langone
Hospital and Hospital for Special Surgery. As a certified strength and
conditioning specialist, he is an expert in exercise rehabilitation and
treating athletic injuries and conditions. Dr. Mir believes it is essential
to treat every patient in a unique manner that compliments their personality
and lifestyle. Dr. Mir seeks to establish a relationship with his patients
that will maximize their education in musculoskeletal health and their
specific condition. He will develop a treatment plan that will result
in the best rehabilitation and overall functional mobility as well as
the achievement of your personal goals.
In his free time, he enjoys going to the gym and staying active. His favorite pastimes include playing basketball, soccer, running and water skiing. He also loves to cook and he loves to watch critically acclaimed movies and shows.
